Two masks as a TV set
TV appearance: Through fabric faces on stage
Their fate is to be in the background, yet they play a big role: two stretch fabric B1 masks on a TV contestant show. Through the jaws of the angular faces, a tunnel leads to the backstage area. If you want to get on stage, you have to go through it and step out of your mouth right in front of the cameras.
An elaborate construction made of aluminium profile is behind both objects. Pioneering. The aim was to save weight compared to a wooden building. Hence the lightweight construction with covers made of silver-grey stretch fabric B1. The technical design and implementation took place in the airformance studio. The objects consist of three parts each and reach a height of 8m.
