String prism for Rea Garvey
Stage object: String prism
The basic form for this stage project was a cube. Since this was kept in black, it almost disappeared visually. Instead, umpteen neon-colored cords brought a gaudy effect. The tense string fans offered the artists enough space to place themselves behind or between them. The perceived three-dimensionality of the filigree prism changed depending on the viewing angle and light. Sometimes it seemed as if levels were reversing.
The individual construction made of aluminium and B1 cords had a length of 450 cm, a width of 240 cm and a height of 300 cm. The first draft is from Christian Glathor(rocketchris.de). The technical design, the implementation and the first installation in the rehearsal studio was done by airformance design.
