Fair object: A cloud made of textile triangles
What are the characteristics of a cloud? Easiness! With this in mind, triangular sails flew over an exhibition stand at the IAA Commercial Vehicles in Hanover: They formed a semi-transparent, airy cloud shape. This “cloud” was the basis for precisely fitting projections. The result was a convincing overall shape from a total of 35 triangles with an optimal long-distance effect.
airformance design shaped and developed the project significantly. In the studio in Krefeld, the overall concept was planned on the computer and produced in the in-house workshop. A delicate, translucent B1 fabric was selected for the objects, which stretched over aluminum frames. An important point in the staging was the exact distances between the triangular shapes. Theory and practice found each other wonderfully. The result was convincing. Happy customer, happy airformance. Goal achieved.
