The Deutsches Eck
Fair object: The Deutsches Eck
The famous confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers was transformed by airformance design into a lightweight textile construction. The place is called “deutsches Eck” in German, which simply means “German corner”. The object made of stretch fabric B1 was on display at an ITB trade fair stand. Like a “Y”, the abstracted river delta rose into the trade fair sky, creating a clearly perceptible long-distance effect.
5.5 m rose the object. The construction consisted of a custom-made aluminium substructure with a cover of blue stretch fabric B1. It was created entirely in the airformance studio.
