Tripods - Breakwater

For an exhibition at the German-Belgian border near Aachen, airformance design dealt with the eventful history of the border triangle. Within sight of the historic “Westwall”, textile tripods (Inflatables) were staged as a counterpoint.

The symbolic breakwaters stood for the willingness to smooth the waves and put aside enmities. Each object was about 2.5 m in diameter and was made of a golden fabric. The art association KuKuk (Kunst und Kultur im Köpfchen) arranged a solo exhibition for aifromance design in the former border house and organized the art trail “Seitenwechsel”. Within sight of the concrete tank barriers, the textile tripods were installed here in nature.
